LIFELONG SKILLS LEARNT BEHIND PRISON WALLS.


The core duty of prisons is to reform offenders, and this can only materialize if correctional facilities are well funded to provide inmates with various skills. 

The Centre for Human Rights Education, Advice and Assistance (CHREAA) and DVV International are implementing an Adult Literacy and Education program called “Education and Skills Training for Prisoners” at Zomba Prison. The program aims at providing educational skills through tailor-made vocational skills to empower inmates prepare for their post-prison life once they are released to avoid recidivism.
